Every two years the
European Olympic Committee hold the European Youth Olympic Festival, for athletes who are 15 or 16 years of age in the calendar year of the event.
Irish athletes have attended the last five Olympic festivals in : 1999 Liberac, Czech Republic; 2001 Vuokatti, Finalnd; 2003 Bled, Slovenia; 2005 Monthey, Switzerland, 2007 Jaca, Spain; Slask-Beskidy, Poland 2009 and 2011 Liberac, Czech Republic.
The next EYOWF will take place in Brasov, Romania in February 2013 and will be for eligible athletes born in 1996 or 1997. EYOF 2013 Website
